Cooperation with ZAMG
The ZAMG – Zentralanstalt für Meteorologie und Geodynamik - is Austria’s best known climate and weather service.
By connecting the competence of HAKOM concerning energy markets with the meteorological forecast competence of ZAMG the cooperation between HAKOM and ZAMG makes exact and reliable energy consumption forecasts and production forecasts possible.
ZAMG - a partially incorporated federal establishment with regional offices for Salzburg and UpperAustria, for Carinthia, for the Tyrol and Vorarlberg, and for Styria – is a modern climate and weather service provider.
Memberships with WMO (World Meteorological Organisation) EUMETSAT (European organisation for evaluating meteorological satellite data) ECMWF (European centre for mid –term weather forecasts) as well as cooperation with other weather services guarantee high meteorological competence.
The ZAMG uses its own close- knit forecast model (Aladin Vienna), which had its origin in international cooperation and was later specially adapted for the Alpine region and for Central Europe.
Standard interfaces for the transmission and import of the meteorological data of ZAMG into the EDM-system of HAKOM guarantee the smooth exchange of data, and the continuous development of meteorological and energy market models lead to most reliable results.
Thus HAKOM offers its customers a one-firm project ranging from the subscription to the measured or forecast data to the generation of schedules on the basis of consumption forecasts.
