On November 12, 2025, HAKOM Time Series GmbH, founded in 1991 by the technical mathematicians Stefan Komornyik (CEO) and Thomas Hasleder (CTO), was acquired in its entirety by Volue AS. Volue, based in Oslo, Norway, is a profitable and expanding technology company with approximately 800 employees and +2.500 customers worldwide.
Volue AS serves the energy industry with software solutions for production planning and optimization, energy trading, market analysis and forecasting. The solutions are cloud-based, scalable, and tailored to sectors. Products from this portfolio include, for example, BoFiT Optimisation, Volue Algo Trader Power, Volue PowerBot, Wattsight, DeltaXE or Volue Green Empower.
The customer focus is currently on Europe, although expansion efforts in the Asia Pacific region have already been rolled out successfully. Nine of the top ten companies in the European energy sector are among its customers. The list reads like a who's who of the energy industry: EnBW, Enel, E.ON, Fortum, Innogy, RWE, Uniper, Vattenfall, Statkraft, Axpo, Alpiq, Iberdrola, A2A Group, Engie or Luminus to name just a few.
Volue AS is owned by three financial investors: Advent International, one of the world’s largest and most respected investment companies, Arendals Fossekompani (AFK) and Generation Investment Management (GIM), a pioneer in sustainable investing, co-founded by former US VP Al Gore.
